The Independence Events Center hosts a variety of events including: concerts; trade shows; professional, collegiate and high school sporting events, festivals, community ceremonies and is home to the Missouri Mavericks, of the Central Hockey League and the Missouri Comets, of the Major Indoor Soccer League .
