The Jr. Mavericks Youth Hockey Club had a very successful first season! We couldn't be more proud of the young kids who competed in the Kansas City Amature Hockey League. We would like to thank all the parents/families for their support in our inaguaral season. Our coaching staff did a fantastic job and we are looking forward to their continued commitment to player development.

Steps To Becoming A Hockey Player
Teams are divided up by the following birth years:
Atom: 05/06
Mite: 03/04
Squirt: 01/02
Peewee: 99/00
Bantam: 97/98
High School: 94/95/96 (www.mahshl.org)
The Atom through Bantam divisions participant in a city wide hockey league which includes the KC Stars, KC Saints, KC Outlaws, St. Joe Griffins, Topeka, Carriage Club and of course the JR. MAVERICKS!
Fall Hockey Is Coming Soon
Each team will have 22 practices throughout the fall/winter season which will include USA Hockey certified coaches along with current Missouri Mavericks Hockey Players helping as often as they can with 'on ice' and 'off-ice' instruction. Both jerseys and socks are included at no extra charge.

Independence Events Center Hires Front Row Marketing Services to Run Corporate Sales
The Independence Events Center has chosen Front Row Marketing Services to handle commercial rights sales for the venue, including securing a naming rights partner. Front Row will work to increase revenue streams while creating and maintaining effective and lasting relationships with corporate partners.

Casting Crowns Coming to the Independence Events Center
The Independence Events Center, Eastern Jackson County’s state-of-the-art, 5,800 fixed-seat sports and entertainment venue, has announced that Casting Crowns will bring their Come to the Well Tour featuring Matthew West, Royal Tailor and Lindsay McCaul to the events center on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 7 p.m. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m., Monday, December 19 and will be available exclusively through Ticketmaster.
