Public Skating Rules and Regulations:

No reckless skating
Jumping and spinning only in center of ice (Management will not allow if session is busy
Only skate in announced direction
Backward skating only in designated direction (Always looking over shoulder)
Food & beverage in not allowed on ice
Do not pick holes or chop the ice
Do not throw snow or any foreign object on ice surface
No additional equipment on ice
Do not climb over or sit on the boards
Do not leave objects on the boards
Do not walk on concrete in skates / Please stay on rubber matting
No one allowed on ice without wearing skates
Childred under 8 must have adult supervision within the facility
Do not carry children while skating
Do not block entrance to rink
No loitering
Skate at your own risk

Due to the popularity of our public skate sessions, please arrive early to ensure that we will have your size of skate available!

Remember to bring socks and gloves! We recommend wearing warm, layered clothing.

Independence Events Center Hires Front Row Marketing Services to Run Corporate Sales

The Independence Events Center has chosen Front Row Marketing Services to handle commercial rights sales for the venue, including securing a naming rights partner. Front Row will work to increase revenue streams while creating and maintaining effective and lasting relationships with corporate partners.

Casting Crowns Coming to the Independence Events Center

The Independence Events Center, Eastern Jackson County’s state-of-the-art, 5,800 fixed-seat sports and entertainment venue, has announced that Casting Crowns will bring their Come to the Well Tour featuring Matthew West, Royal Tailor and Lindsay McCaul to the events center on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 7 p.m. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m., Monday, December 19 and will be available exclusively through Ticketmaster.
